Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Roman Antonian, an individual doing business as StagePage, Oakland, California ("StagePage," "we," "us") collects through the StagePage iOS app and audio plug-in (the "App"), the StagePage Live subscription, and the performer pages at stagepageapp.com (together, the "Services"), and how it's used. We don't sell your personal information.
1. Information that stays on your device
Your songs, lyrics, chords, setlists, folders and drawings are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud backup, a copy is saved in your own iCloud account, which we can't access. If you share a song, the file goes only where you send it.
2. Information we collect
All App users
- Usage and device information through Google Firebase Analytics: app version and build, device model, operating system version, approximate region, an app-instance identifier, and events such as first launch and app updates. We use this to understand which versions are in use and to improve the App. We don't use it for advertising.
- A push-notification token for your device, so we can send app-update announcements and (for performers) notifications about new requests and bookings.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of your purchase or subscription status from Apple, never your payment details.
Performers (StagePage Live)
- Account: when you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier and the email address Apple shares with us (which may be a private relay address), plus the handle you choose.
- Public profile you enter: name, title, profile photo, social links, contact email and phone, prices, minimums, requestable song list, and booking options. This information is published on your performer page.
- Availability: times you block off, your bookings' dates, times and locations, and — if you turn on calendar availability — the busy time windows (date, start and end only, no event titles or details) from the calendars you choose, so Fans can't book over them. These busy times and blocked times are visible on your page as unavailable.
- Calendar access on your device is used to read the calendars you select for availability and to add your bookings to a calendar. Calendar contents other than busy time windows are not sent to us.
- Payouts: when you set up payouts, Stripe collects your identity, tax and bank information directly. We store only your Stripe account identifier and whether payouts are active.
- Requests and bookings you receive (see the Fan section below) and their status in the App.
- Apple Wallet card: when a StagePage business card is added to Apple Wallet (by the performer or anyone they share it with), we store the device-registration data Apple Wallet uses to keep the card updated (a device library identifier and push token).
Fans (people using a performer's page)
- Tips and song requests: the name and message you enter (optional), the song you request, and the amount.
- Bookings and setlists: your first and last name, phone number, email address, event type, date and time, venue address, number of guests, indoor/outdoor, notes, and any songs you pick.
- Payments: card and wallet details are entered into Stripe's secure form and go to Stripe, not to us. We receive a payment confirmation (amount and payment ID). For bookings, your email is given to Stripe so it can send you a receipt.
- Maps: when you type a venue, the address is sent from your browser to Apple Maps (or Google Maps as a fallback) to show a map and look up its location.
- Blocking: the page stores a random identifier in your browser and sends it with payments. It isn't linked to your name or device; it lets a performer block someone who sends abusive messages.
- Reports: if you report a page, we receive your report and, if you give it, your email address. We use them only to review the report and reply to you.
Automatically, on our website and servers
Like most online services, our hosting and server providers record technical information such as IP address, browser type and time of request in server logs, used for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies. Our web pages don't use advertising or analytics cookies. They store one random identifier in your browser for blocking (see above). When you open a payment form, Stripe sets cookies and collects device information needed for payment security and fraud prevention. When you enter or view an address, Apple (MapKit) or Google (Maps) receives that request. These companies handle that information under their own privacy policies.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so StagePage does not change its behavior when it receives one. StagePage does not track you across other companies' sites or apps and does not use your information for targeted advertising. Stripe, Apple and Google may collect information about your activity on our pages as described above.
3. How we use information
- To run the Services: show performer pages, deliver tips, requests, setlists and bookings to the right performer, block booked times, and send related notifications and emails (for example, a booking confirmation to the Fan and a new-booking notice to the performer).
- To verify payments (for example, confirming a booking deposit was actually paid) and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To provide support, maintain security, fix problems, and improve the App.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. How information is shared
- With performers: information a Fan submits on a performer's page goes to that performer.
- Publicly: a performer's profile, requestable songs, and unavailable times appear on their public page.
- Service providers that process data for us: Google (Firebase hosting, database, file storage, cloud functions, push notifications and analytics; Google Maps fallback), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store, iCloud, Apple Maps, Apple Wallet), Stripe (payments and performer payouts), and Google (Gmail), which sends our notification and confirmation emails through the Firebase Trigger Email extension. Service providers may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of users, the public, or StagePage.
- Business transfers: if StagePage is reorganized, merged or sold, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
StagePage does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and does not use it for targeted ads.
5. Retention
- Performer profile and settings: until the performer deletes them or deletes their account.
- Song requests and tips: names and messages are deleted or anonymized 90 days after the request; the amount and payment ID are kept with payment records.
- Bookings and setlists: 12 months after the event date, or 6 months after the request if no booking resulted. Performers can delete them sooner.
- Payment records we keep (payment ID, amount, date and performer, never card details), including the record that prevents a booking-deposit payment from being reused: 7 years, for tax and accounting purposes. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its policies; performers can access theirs in their Stripe dashboard.
- Logs of emails we send: 30 days.
- Reports: up to 2 years after they're resolved. Blocks a performer sets: until the performer deletes their account.
- Analytics data: 2 months at the user and event level (Google keeps aggregated reports longer).
- When a performer deletes their account, their data is erased within 30 days (backups roll off afterwards). Records of subscription consent are kept for 3 years.
6. Your choices and rights
- Performers can edit or remove profile information in the App and delete their account at any time (Personal Account → Delete account). This erases their page, profile, photo, requests, bookings and setlists from StagePage; the handle is retired so no one else can use it.
- You can turn off notifications, calendar access and photo access in iOS Settings at any time.
- Wherever you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing stagepageapp@gmail.com. Fans can also ask the performer they contacted. We will verify your request and respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
- If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We process your information to provide the Services you request (contract), for our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention and improving the App, and to comply with law. When information is transferred to the United States, our providers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access rules so that only a performer can read their own requests and bookings, and server-side payment verification. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Where information is processed
We're based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries.
10. Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. If changes are material, we'll give notice in the App or on this page.
